Most email warmup guides tell you to "send a little, then send more." This guide gives you the exact template - day by day, week by week - that you can copy and apply to any warmup scenario. Use it as-is or adjust for your ESP, domain age, and target sending volume.

30-Day Email Warmup Schedule Template

Week 1: Foundation (Days 1–7)

  • Days 1–2: 5 warmup emails/day | 0 cold outreach | Check authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • Days 3–4: 10 warmup emails/day | 0 cold outreach | Verify inbox placement >90%

Post-Warmup Maintenance Schedule

Warmup does not end at day 30. Sender reputation decays when warmup stops. After your initial 30-day program, maintain warmup activity permanently alongside cold outreach:

  • Continue sending 20–30 warmup emails per day indefinitely
  • Keep warmup volume at 15–25% of your total daily send volume
  • Run weekly inbox placement tests to catch reputation dips early
  • If placement drops below 85%, pause cold outreach and double warmup volume for 5–7 days

Adjusting the Template for Your Situation

Damaged reputation (spam complaints, blacklisting)

Halve all daily volumes in weeks 1–2. Extend the schedule to 45 days before starting cold outreach. Do not skip the pause in week 3 - re-check placement before introducing any real sends.

High-volume senders (200+ emails/day target)

Extend the schedule by 2 additional weeks before reaching full volume. The 30-day template above is calibrated for senders targeting 50–100 cold emails per day. For 200+ daily, add weeks 5–6 with 100–150 warmup emails and 50–80 cold emails before scaling further.
